| I searched the schedule yesterday morning to see if Paarl would appear on it during the dat, but found none bar Agter-Paarl. However, at 4pm the lights were out. Did I miss something or do they change the schedule during the day? |

City of Cape Town's new load shedding format is great. I like the map and the legend bar below. At least they now seem to be sticking to their published schedule, and I know more-or-less when to get the generator ready.
See:
http://www.capetown.gov.za/wcmsTemplates/Electricity.aspx?clusid=458&catparent=6086&IDpathString=5992-6086
Then click North, South, East for your area.
Unfortunately, Paarl is under the Eskom directly fed areas, and there still seems to be a bit of a problem with their (Eskom's) communications! |

| Could have been a local failure...? I. e. NOT loadshedding, but some local, typically unmaintained piece of equipment that failed? |

The Eskom regular load shedding schedule can be found on the African Energy News Review section on the South African Electricity Crisis.
