Please use the real official names of the SA cities, not the silly 'regional council' names. Where on earth is Ethekweenee? What and where is Tshwane?

Hehe - zero luck of that ever happening.

Remember who runs the government... and thus Eskom also.

I think Etikweni is somewhere in the Randfontein (apartheid era name) region, while Tswane is Pretoria.

Hi,

You will see that we use both - i.e. we use
Ethekwini (Durban).

We put the "real names" as you call them in brackets to make sure people know what we are referring to.

Problem is - try to find Empangeni on any load shedding schedule anywhere - it does not exist. Look for uMhlatuze and whalla, you are in business....

There is a saying you can please most of the people most of the time and that is enough - giving both names seems to please most of the people most of the time. If we only give one or the other name there is no end to the misery that ensues.

Please accept this as a fact of life in the new SA.
